Nicholas Offord

Nicholas is one of Canada’s most experienced and respected leaders in institutional development. He is President and Founder of The Offord Group, which he created in 2004 as a strategic advisory alternative for charities, with a focus on capacity building. Prior to that, his career highlights included five years as a campaign director for Ketchum Canada Inc, following which he held the position of President of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation and Vice-President, Resource Development of Mount Sinai Hospital, where he led the breakthrough $250-million The Best Medicine campaign.


Mel Cooper

Mel is an award-winning business and community leader and philanthropist. He is the proud recipient of both the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia. His business achievements have earned him multiple recognitions including BC Entrepreneur of the Year, Victoria Business Person of the Year, Victoria Lifetime Business Achievement Award and Victoria Lifetime Leadership Award. Mel concluded a 53-year career in radio management and ownership with the sale of his Victoria stations C-FAX & KOOL FM to CHUM Ltd. He was a long time director on the Boards of the Royal Bank, TELUS and Air BC and continues to be active on many fronts.
